Terms and Conditions

Disclaimer:

The Ernie Journey Experience and any of it's associated names, companies or persons acting for or on behalf of the Foundation, cannot and will not be held responsible for any changing circumstances or procedures that may arise at anytime. When you join or apply to join the foundation, you will have agreed to the terms and conditions and will have been given the opportunity to read them if you already haven't done so. This is shown above the "Accept my Details" button prior to you forwarding your request. These terms and conditions can be changed without prior notice.

The Company:

The Company issuing these Terms and Conditions is known as "The Ernie Journey Foundation".

Description of Your Chance:

Your chance of receiving an award is dependant upon the National Savings Premium Bond Prize Draw, as your donation has been allocated number(s) associated with a "Live" National Savings Premium Bond. These Bonds are government securities issued by the Treasury in units of £1 under the National Loans Act, 1968. They are included in draws for cash prizes, which are held every month.

All the numbers issued by the "The Ernie Journey Foundation" relate to National Savings Premium Bonds which have been purchased by Company Officers. These Premium Bonds always remain registered and held by the authorised holder and are never at any time transferred to any person donating monies to the Company.

Prize Draw:

The National Savings Premium Bond Prize Draw occurs every month and the total prize fund is determined by the treasury. From 1st September 2001, there has been one prize for every 21,500 Bond units eligible for inclusion in each draw ("Eligible Bond Units"). The prizes are divided into three value bands, higher, medium and lower, and the monthly prize fund is shared between these bands. The overall distribution of prizes ranges from £50 to £1 million every month.

Eligibility of Your Numbers for Prizes:

All numbers issued by the Company will relate to "Eligible Bond Units" included in the National Savings Premium Bond Prize Draws. Any prizes allocated will be awarded to the authorised holder of the Bond within the Company. Thereafter, the Company will pledge to issue an amount immediately to you ( the donor ) and our chosen charity, on equal 50% - 50% basis, which will equal the total amount awarded to the Bond holder. This means that the Company will allocate a sum shared between the donor and the charity equal to that won on the Bond.

When your donation is allocated a number by the Company, it will remain ACTIVELY attached for a maximum period of 12 National Savings Premium Bond Prize Draws. After that period has elapsed, you will not have any entitlement on that number and therefore the Bond, which is never purchased or otherwise owned by you.

Donations and Holding Limits:

To obtain your entry into the venue, you will need to complete a donation registration document which will enable the company to allocate a number to you for each £1 that you donate. The number(s) allocated to you will relate to "Eligible Bond Units".

You can donate as many £1 units as you wish. The Premium Bonds will always remain the property of the Company Officer to which they are registered. The Officers holding the Bonds operate in accord with the Terms and Conditions laid down by the Director of Savings at National Savings. You can therefore never own the Bond(s) nor can it (they) ever be transferred to you.

Each number that the company attaches to a donation will be eligible for 12 active National Savings Premium Bond Prize Draws, determined from your date of purchase.

National Savings Premium Bond Publication and Allocation of Prizes:

The serial number of all winning Premium Bonds are published in the London Gazette. In addition, the registered holders of winning Bonds are notified by post at their last address as recorded at the offices of National Savings.

In the case of serial numbers held by the Company that are subject of notification of a win, should that number be actively allocated to a donation, the donor will be notified by post and/or telephone by the Company. Notification will depend entirely on information provided by donors on their donation registration document. At the same time, the Company will notify the chosen charity.

If a donors address or contact numbers are changed during any period he/she has been allocated an eligible number by the company, it will be the responsibility of the donor to inform the Company of that change without delay. If the Company is unable to contact any donor during such a period in circumstances where a win has been recorded on an eligible number, and the donors address or other contact details have changed without notification, then the sum of money normally awarded to be shared between the donor and the charity will be forwarded in its entirely to the charity after a period of six months from the date of notification of the award. In such circumstances, the donor will retain no claim whatsoever on the award against the Company or the Charity concerned.

In terms of the National Savings Premium Bond Prize Draws, the Director of National Savings has sole discretion in all matters pertaining to the method and conduct of the draws and the allocation of prizes. The Company plays no part whatsoever in the draws. The Company will accept that the decision of the Director as to which Bonds have won is final.

In terms of those serial numbers actively allocated to donations made to the Company, the Executive Director of the Company retains sole discretion on all matters concerning the means of distributing any monies won and reserves the right to cancel any arrangements entered into with a donor at any time.

Payments:

When prize money is received by the Company, an equivalent amount will be drawn from the Company funds and allocated equally between the donor and the chosen charity. Payment will be by crossed warrant. Any awards you receive may be subject to income tax or capital gains tax.

Changes in Terms of Prospectus:

The Company reserves the right to declare any numbers attached to a donation to be henceforth ineligible for any payment or draws and to cancel any numbers issued that may be subject to an investigation of any nature.

The Ernie Journey Foundation own and manage a bank of active National Savings Premium Bonds and for each £1 you donate you will be allocated a certificated Premium Bond number by us covering a period of 12 draws. This gives you the opportunity of sharing £1 Million each month for 12 months
